🌹 The pink emoji

The pink emoji was approved under Unicode 6.0 in 2010. It depicts a budding rose flower with green sepals and a stem. Its appearance is fairly consistent across all platforms. The red rose "has always been an important symbol with anti-authoritarian associations," prominently displayed during celebrations from May 1 to the 19th century, then adopted by Democratic Socialist parties in the United States and abroad. The DSA began asking its followers to incorporate the pink emoji into their profiles to show that they were "not afraid to support democratic socialism." A red rose. Depicted as a single vertical red rose on a green stem. Commonly used for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and other special occasions. Perhaps more generally used to express feelings such as love and romance. Also used as a symbol of socialism or as a red accent color. Not to be confused with 🌷 Tulip, although their applications may overlap. Samsung's rose was previously pink.
